EDE COFFEE – THE JOURNEY OF SOMEONE WHO DARED TO LEAVE TO BEGIN
There are some decisions… that not everyone dares to make.
Y Pot Nie – an Ede man, who once wore a white lab coat, graduated from medical school, and worked in a hospital for four years. A stable job, a career many people dream of. But inside him… there was always a question:
“"I was born from this land..."
So what will I leave behind for my own land?”
His family was very poor; they owned a coffee plantation, but life was still a struggle. They had the coffee, but its value was... nonexistent.
And he realized: If things didn't change, everything would remain the same. One day, he decided to leave his white lab coat. Not because he couldn't do it, but because he wanted to do something bigger for his family and his village.
He started from scratch.
No instructor.
No one to guide us.
No one offered advice.
All you need is: Willpower – Belief – And a burning desire to change your life.

In the early days… He learned to roast coffee by using the pan roasting method his grandmother taught him. And then…
Fail once…five times…ten times…twenty times.
The coffee burned, the coffee spoiled, the coffee didn't sell, but he didn't give up.
Because he understands:

Each day – a lesson.
Every mistake is a learning experience.
Gradually… he came to understand coffee beans better, to understand temperature, to understand time, and even to understand the heart of the coffee maker.
When he started to succeed…other bad things appeared: envy, contempt, suspicion…

Those words didn't discourage him; on the contrary…they made him stronger.
He didn't prove it with words, he proved it with results.

It's not about winning or losing, but about working together to build a coffee value chain for our own village.
